I will probably revert to many things about the American Indian throughout our
journey here on this site. One of the most memorable things in our history lessons about them, was there need to be compatible
with nature. Everything they did, they respected nature. They knew, if they turned the wrong way, nature would punish
them and if they turned the right way, nature would reward them greatly.
As I laid here, watching the Adirondacks, on WQED a PBS (Public Broadcasting
Station) in Pittsburgh, I was reminded about the way man should live within nature. It is like the perfect blend, of humans being
warmly accepted by their environment. And not that of man trying to conquer it.
Seems this is a lesson we have a hard time getting a grip on. We have turned the
wrong way and nature has punished us. We bull-headedly continue forth instead of recognizing our wrongs and repecting our
punishment and changing our ways. Natural disasters it seems, are more devastating today than ever before in our own times,
or any other. And I will put forth this proposition; "we do have time to change, to make things right with nature". We are,
however, running out of time.
We must get rid of as many pollutants as we possibly can. Mercury, Sulfur, Nitrogen,
and Carbons are just a few of the wrong discharges upon our environment. When found in certain levels, that are not harmful.
But we have exceeded those levels, time and time again. We must respect the way nature talks to us, treats us and punishes us
or rewards us. She wants to accept us as warmly as any mother would accept her children. We must lie down in her comfort
and not defy her.
You must cherish the earth and all her pleasantries. She gives you nurishment and
and provides you with all her comforts. To take and give back to her that what you need and that what she needs. It is an
interdependence, a marriage of sorts, where one counts on the other for survival. We must survive, the earth must survive, for
whatever reason it is, this is the way it should be.
There is more to discuss here so stay posted.
