GLOBAL WARMING, BIO-FUELS, NATURAL WAYS OF LIFE!

We Are Changing The Way The World Lives

"You would rather build bad schools and give millions to athletes, than..."; an email to Steve Wilkos, (The Steve Wilkos Show). This is probably, not even half the dilemna here. You can add, you rather have no medical coverage, starvation and millions of people going poor and loosing their livelihoods and give billions to pro sports organizations, than to tell the truth and correct this injustice.

RAINFORESTS

Rainforests are important - they are one of the most important natural wonders of the world. If they were not important, they would not be there. They are being threatened by a developing world and are being destroyed by thousands of acres per day, even per minute.

No site on bio-energy, no site on clean air or on the environment can miss such an important thesis as the rainforest. Should they forget any argument about how we should save the rainforest or even how we should stimulate the grow of new ones, then they are not really thinking of the bio-sphere at all.

I want to put forth this argument, here and now, we did not go to war in Iraq over weapons of mass destruction nor over the oil riches of that country. If you recall Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait because they had all the oil fields within their boundries, although Iraq does produce some oil, it is not enough to crow about. No, we went to ear in Iraq because of Saddam Hussein's Dam Projects. No other area in the world fights so much over water. Read about all the reasons we interfere in the Mid-East

So whatever happened to a U.S. Commission on the Preservation of the Rainforests? I could tell you this much, I feel, we should be meddling in this areana, more than any other we have ever meddled in, in history. Yes, we want these underdeveloped countries to flourish as far as wealth, but not at the expense of our livelihoods and the world is our fish bowl, should someone go pounding at the glass sides, I think we would have enough sense to stop them before they let the water out. Well, that is what is happening here, they are hammering at those perverbial glass sides and eventually the sides are going to break and we are all going to suffocate without our air that we breath.

The rainforest not only houses more species of plants and animals that we know of and even don't know of. It provides a reproduction of ozone for our atmosphere, it filters out the air we breath and acts as a buffer to the winds of the world. The mass amount of huracaines, typhoons and whatever other ungodly forms of weather change we are seeing is not only a result of warming mother earth, but because we are loosing our buffer to the wind.

Rainforests also help cool down the earth. The amount of rainfall in these areas provides a cooling off spot for the surface of the earth. Unlike the ice caps of the world that reflect the sun's heat back away from the earth, rainforests allow the water to do the cooling off. These same rains wash out the air, like a filter too, along with the trees that breath in all the pollution and spew out fresh air. We must recognize that this is an important natural wonder of the world and we can not live without it.

Do I suggest that we go in and fight them and take the rainforests off them. No! But we can initiate some form of sanctions that will bring about drastic change in those countries. Expell them from the United Nations, Don't trade or buy goods from them - install an all out cold war against them. We can not wait any longer, we must stop the destruction of this vital natural wonder/resource.
